Facebook Business Verification
Completing the Facebook Business Verification confirms the authenticity of your entity. We provide detailed guidance to assist you in navigating this process with ease below. To discover more about business verification, just click here.
Before you begin:
- Your business must require access to specific products and features to initiate business verification.
- The Start Verification option will not be available unless your business necessitates verification.
- To verify your business, you must be an administrator of the Business Manager account.

How To Verify your Facebook Business
Step 1: From the home page, open "Settings".
Step 2: Open the "Security Center", and click on "Start verification" under the Business Verification section.
Click "Get Started" to begin.
Step 3: Fill out business details.
First, select the business type:
Then ensure the accuracy of your entity's legal name, address, and website. Thoroughly review for any typos or errors, as you will not be able to modify this information after submission.
Step 4: Select your business.
Choose the appropriate entity from the list that aligns with your own (a verification code will be sent to the listed phone number).
NOTE: If your entity is not listed, or if you are unable to receive a verification code at the provided phone number, please select "My business isn't listed". In this case, proceed to the Upload the Official Documents section for further instructions.
Step 5: Review and confirm the details.
Step 6: Choose how you’d like to confirm your connection to your business.
Below are the available options where to obtain a verification code:
- Email (Recommended): Please confirm that the email domain you've provided corresponds with the website domain given in step 3.
- Phone call: If you choose to receive a verification code via phone call, it will use the listed phone number.
- Text message (SMS): Same as with the phone call, it will use the listed phone number.
- WhatsApp message: It will also use your listed phone number.
- Identity verification: You're required to submit personal identification documents for verification.
- Domain verification: You can use your existing domain for verification.
NOTE: You cannot modify the phone number selection.
Step 7: Confirm to send the code.
Step 8: Enter the code you received.
Upload the Official Documents
If your entity did not match any listings in Step 4, please proceed as follows:
In this section, you will be prompted to submit legal documents. Only documents in the languages specified in this article are accepted. If your documents are in a language not supported, they must be accompanied by a certified English translation, as detailed in the article.
Step 1: Select a contact method.
- Email (Recommended): Ensure the submitted email domain aligns with the website domain specified in Step 4.
- Phone call: If opting to receive a verification code by phone, ensure the phone number is officially provisioned by the entity seeking Facebook business verification. It should NOT be a private phone number.
- Text message (SMS): Same as with the phone call, it will use the listed phone number.
- WhatsApp message: It will also use your listed phone number.
Step 2: Select a document type and upload the documents.
The legal entity name on the submitted document must align with the legal entity name you provided in Step 4 above.
The primary document types that are acceptable for business verification are as follows. Make sure these documents are not expired and are issued by the relevant authorities.
- Certificate/Articles of Incorporation
- Business Registration or License Document
- Government Issued Business Tax Document: This could include a Tax Certificate. Self-filed tax documents are not accepted.
- Business Bank Statement
- Utility Bill: A utility bill is accepted only for Business Address and Phone number. The Legal Business Name must be on the utility bill. A utility bill is not an acceptable document for Legal Business Name verification
NOTE: If your document doesn't include your business phone number, you're required to upload additional document that must include the legal entity name and phone number.

Enter the verification code sent to your entity's email address or phone number, based on the option you selected.
