Completing Facebook business verification confirms the authenticity of your entity. We provide detailed guidance to assist you in navigating this process with ease. Discover more about business verification here.

 

Before you begin:

1. Your business must require access to specific products and features to initiate business verification. 

2. The 'Start Verification' option will not be available unless your business necessitates verification. 

3. To verify your business, you must be an administrator of the Business Manager account.

Step 1: Open Business Settings

Step 4: Fill out business details

Ensure the accuracy of your entity's legal name, address, and website. Thoroughly review for any typos or errors, as you will not be able to modify this information after submission.

Step 5: Select your business

Choose the appropriate entity from the list that aligns with your own (a verification code will be sent to the listed phone number).

Note: If your entity is not listed, or you're unable to receive a verification code at the provided phone number, select 'None of these match.' In this case, proceed to the 'Upload the Official Documents' section below for further instructions.

Step 6: Confirm identity details:

Step 7: To obtain a verification code, choose either the phone number or email option.

Email Option: Confirm that the email domain you've provided corresponds with the website domain given in step 4.

Matching Example: Email: contactmoh@gov.us Website: www.ministryofhealth.gov.us

Not Matching Example: Email: contactmoh@gmail.com Website: www.ministryofhealth.gov.us

Phone Option: If you choose to receive a verification code via phone, use the listed phone number. Note that you cannot modify the phone number selection.

Step 8:  Enter the code you received

If your entity did not match any listings in Step 5, please proceed as follows:

In Steps 6 and 7, you will be prompted to submit legal documents. Only documents in the languages specified in this article are accepted. If your documents are in a language not supported, they must be accompanied by a certified English translation, as detailed in the article.

 

 

Step 6: Verify legal entity name


The legal entity name on the submitted document must align with the legal entity name you provided in Step 4.

Acceptable legal documents for legal entity name:

  • Bank statements
  • Entity permit from any level of government
  • Utility bill, e.g.: water, electricity, phone bill (this should include the phone number where you’ll receive the verification code in step 6 if this is the option you choose)
  • Certificate of formation
  • Tax registration certificate (or exemption certificate).

 

Step 7: Verify your legal entity address or phone number

The legal entity address in the submitted document must correspond with the legal entity address you provided in Step 4.

Acceptable legal documents for legal entity address:

  • Bank statements
  • Entity permit from any level of government
  • Utility bill
  • Certificate of formation
  • Tax registration certificate (or exemption certificate).

 

Step 8: Get a Verification Code

Email Option: Ensure the submitted email domain aligns with the website domain specified in Step 4.

Phone Option: If opting to receive a verification code by phone, ensure the phone number is officially provisioned by the entity seeking Facebook business verification. It should NOT be a private phone number.

Step 9: Enter Verification Code

Enter the verification code sent to your entity's email address or phone number, based on the option you selected.

To cancel and resubmit: You can go back to the Security Center and select ‘Cancel’.
