Whatsapp, SMS & Push Marketing (SPM) - Campaign Creation and Configuration •
We have recently revamped the campaign creation and configuration process for the SPM app. This guide will walk you through the steps to create and configure a new SMS, WhatsApp, or Push Campaign.
We provide a concise video guide for Campaign Creation and Configuration:
Please follow the steps below to create and configure a new campaign:
1. Go to the Campaign section, which can be found in the left-side navigation or on the dashboard
2. On the Campaign page, you can begin configuring your first SMS, WhatsApp or Push campaign.
The 1st section encompasses all the general campaign configuration options
1. Campaign name is used to distinguish each popup
2. Channel offers several subscriber types to send this campaign to
a. Push, this campaign will be sent only to subscribers who have signed up for push notifications.
b. SMS, this campaign will be sent only to subscribers who have signed up for SMS messages.
c. WhatsApp, this campaign will be sent only to subscribers who have signed up for WhatsApp messages.
d. Push + SMS, this campaign will be sent to both Push and SMS subscribers, with the priority set in the channel priority step.
3. If Push + SMS is selected for the channel, the channel priority option will be displayed.
a. Push priority will first attempt to send a Push notification, and if that fails or the subscriber only has SMS messages enabled, it will serve as a fallback option to send an SMS message.
b. SMS priority will first attempt to send an SMS message, and if that fails or the subscriber only has Push notifications enabled, it will serve as a fallback option to send a Push notification.
4. The "Push to" option allows you to further specify the type of subscriber who will receive the campaign.
5. "Offer a Discount Code" will determine if a discount code will be automatically assigned to any of the campaign links when a subscriber clicks them. Note: You will need to create the discount in the Shopify Admin >> Discounts section beforehand.
6. "Campaign Schedule" is used to determine when this campaign will be sent to your subscribers.
7. "Message Delivery Time" further refines the timing for when a subscriber will receive the campaign based on their local time.
The 2nd section encompasses all the specific campaign configuration options.
Note: The following configuration example is for the Channel: Push + SMS, with the Channel Priority set to Push.
1. The first section includes customization and preview options for the priority campaign notification/message. In this case, the first priority is a Push notification.
2. The second section includes customization and preview options for the priority campaign notification/message. In this case, the second priority is an SMS message.
3. After customizing your Campaign, simply click the 'Save' button located at the bottom of the page to save your changes!
