Shipping Notification Automation (SPM)

The "Shipping Notification" automation, in our Smart Push Marketing app, sends shipping status updates about the orders and keeps your customers informed.


The Shipping Notification automation includes three notifications:

  1. Payment Captured
  2. Order Shipped
  3. Order Tracking Code Added

You can pause any of these notifications by clicking the "Pause" button.

To start setting this up, head over to Automations and click on Activate adjacent to Shipping notifications:


You'll then be redirected to this page, select which channel you want to send these notifications from. For this example, we will be using the Push Automation Channel:


At the lower half of the page, you'll be able to see and configure the notification/message that your subscribers will be receiving with previews for iOS, macOS, Windows, and Android:


1st Message


The 1st message is sent to your subscribers when your store accepts the order payment. If your store automatically accepts payment, they will get a notification around the time they paid. But when you manually accept the payment, the notification will be sent when you accept it.


You can configure the Title, Description, and Notification buttons. Note: Do not remove the placeholder [order_name] from the title, as it will be replaced by the actual order number when the push notification is sent.


Notification Buttons:

  • If you choose the "No button" then clicking on the notification will bring your subscribers to your store.
  • If you choose "1 button" then your subscribers can click on the order details button.
  • If you choose "2 buttons" there will be an order details button and a continue shopping button that will bring your subscribers to the all collections page in your store.




2nd Message


The 2nd Message is sent out when you fulfill the order in the Shopify Admin. Like the first message, it has the same configuration where you can edit the Title, Description, and Notification buttons.


3rd Message


The last notification is sent out when you associate an order tracking number with the order. Just like the 1st and 2nd Messages, it has the same configuration where you can edit the Title, Description, and Notification buttons.




Please note

Not all the notifications will be sent every time. For example, if your store accepts the payment, you fulfill the order, and you associate an order tracking number to the order in quick succession like 10 minutes then only the 3rd Message/Notification will be sent out. Your subscribers won't be spammed with the two other notifications.
