Get Web Push Notifications on iOS 16.4+

Starting with iOS and iPadOS 16.4, Apple has introduced support for Web Push Notifications on Home Screen web apps.

To explain, a web app added to the Home Screen can request permission to send push notifications, but only if the request is triggered by direct user interaction, such as tapping a "subscribe" button. iOS or iPadOS will then prompt the user to allow the web app to send notifications. Once granted, users can manage these permissions under Notification Settings, just like any other app on their iPhone or iPad.

In line with this, Hextom: WhatsApp, SMS & Push now supports web push notifications on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.4 or higher. This article walks you through the process of enabling this feature for your store.
